Part 25.1 - 벌써 — Already

Basic Information

The word 벌써 means already. It is used when something happened earlier than expected, or when the speaker is surprised that something has happened.

Example Sentences

벌써 끝났어요? It’s already finished?
벌써 집에 갔어요. He already went home.
벌써 먹었어요. I already ate.

Part 25.2 - 아직 / 아직 안 — Still / Not Yet

Basic Information

The word 아직 means still or not yet depending on the sentence.
When combined with 아직 안 = not yet.

아직 안 먹었어요. I haven’t eaten yet.
아직도 기다리고 있어요. I’m still waiting.
